Friday July 4 – Who can you pray for?
Come and worship
Jesus is the Savior of the world-it is for our salvation that He came as an outpouring of God’s love to sinful man. John 3:16
Meditate on His Word
John 3:1- 21, Luke 19:1-10, Romans 5:6-8
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost. Luke 19:10
For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. Romans 5:6
“…it was when we were helplessly in the throes of sin that Christ extracted Himself from the ultimate Circle of Comfort- heaven itself- to step across time and space to rescue us. Jesus took a decided step toward the ungodly, embracing the worst this planet had to offer with acceptance and love and forgiveness. Miraculously, Christ’s death for rebellious and sin-scarred people declared amnesty for everyone. People were Jesus’ One thing. And they still are.

Reflect and give thanks
Ask the Lord to bring to mind someone in your life who does not yet know Christ. Commit to praying consistently for this person over the summer. Thank Jesus that we- sin-scarred humanity- are His ‘one thing’.
Throughout the coming weeks pray for;
– Opportunities to connect with them and discernment of their heart needs tocontinue in prayer for them
– Pray against barriers to the gospel in their lives.
– That the Spirit of Christ will be drawing them to Himself.(Some people find it helpful to keep a written record of their prayers for others so they can keep track of the answers as they come. It is often thrilling to see the evidence of the Lord’s work in someone’s life recorded right there in the pages of your journal.)
