“Why I Got Baptized On Easter”

Posted on: April 13, 2017

There’s nothing that better exemplifies our gratitude for the Gospel than baptisms! We love baptisms and Easter is a perfect day to do them!

We had a handful of students who chose to get baptized on Easter Sunday and publicly profess their faith in Jesus. Here are a few of their words for why they got baptized:

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. – Ephesians 2:10

“My parents chose this verse for me when I was little, and it’s always been a favorite of mine. I know that baptism is the next step for me, to be able to show others of the work God has already done in my life.”
– Bethany Larson

“Originally, I was raised in a Christian family and gained a decent understanding of the Bible, yet I was afraid of the very idea of baptism. I was constantly questioning my integrity and faith. I was terrified of being too broken or imperfect for God. But thanks to my parents and the Baptism classes, I realized that I don’t need to have it all together in order to proclaim my dedication to Jesus.”

– Jonathan Shi

Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. – Romans 4:20
