IMPORTANT UPDATE: Imprint’s Plan For March
Hello Imprint Church,
As you have noticed, we are emailing you quite a bit more than we typically do. We hope that getting all these emails will remind us to “rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, [and] be constant in prayer” (Romans 12:12).
In an effort to slow the spread of the Coronavirus, Governor Inslee today announced a ban on gatherings and events of more than 250 people in King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties, and stated that it’s “very likely” that the ban extends beyond March.
In light of this prohibition and ever-evolving situation, here’s what you can expect regarding Imprint Church:
We will NOT be having public Worship Gatherings through the month of March. Until we are able to gather in person, we will be doing “church online.” Join us on Facebook Live at 10:00 AM on Sundays for a time of singing, welcome and upcoming events, and a live sermon. This online Gathering will be less than an hour, and we would encourage you to connect with your Imprint Group and watch it together and engage afterward with the sermon discussion questions.
We are putting a hold on our preaching series in the Gospel of John until we resume our in-person Sunday Gatherings. For the next 3 weeks we are going through the letter of Titus together. We are calling this short series Faith In Everyday Life. This is partly inspired by the Romans 12 discussion online this past Sunday, and to help you consider your role as a Christian during the time of COVID-19. Take a few minutes and read Titus 1 to prepare for this upcoming Sunday.
Please know that we are constantly monitoring this situation, praying for the Lord’s intervention and protection and wisdom, as we adhere to his command to “be subject to the governing authorities” (Romans 13:1).
Super strange times that we live in! However, we are grateful that the Lord is in control of all things, and we have nothing to fear — not a virus, not a stock market collapse, not the future, and not the present. The reminder of Psalm 27 is our hope for days like today: “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” The Lord is in control.
One last thing… if you have practical needs during this time, will you reach out to either your Imprint Group Leader, or to one of us on the Lead Team? We want to be the body of Christ during this time even if we cannot connect face to face. We are praying for you.
Together in Jesus,
The Imprint Church Team
