Wednesday August 6 – Prayer for families in conflict and separation
Come and worship
Blessed be the Lord! For He has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy.
The Lord is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped. Psalm 28:6-7
Meditate on His Word Psalm 18:2, Ephesians 4:25-5:2
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Ephesians 4:32, 5:2
Reflect and give thanks
Give thanks to God for granting you this day with your family in which healing and restoration can take place. Thank God that He does not change, He sustains you in seasons of peace and in times of conflict.
Present your relationships to the Lord, asking Him to show you His desire for them and the path to peace with them.
Surrender yourself to Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to work within you to change your part in the conflict in your family.
Pray for neighbors, co-workers, and friends who are experiencing conflict in their family. Ask the Lord to be present in their homes bringing a desire for unity and healing and guidance to see that accomplished.
Ask the Lord to show you how you can encourage the people you know who are hurting over their family situation.
