Wednesday July 2 – Prayer for families in transition and change

2014 Summer of Prayer

Posted on: July 2, 2014

Come and worship

For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.
He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. Psalm 62:5-6

Meditate on His Word Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters, He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake…Psalm 23:1-3

Reflect and give thanks

Give thanks for change and new opportunities happening in your family and in your life. Thank the Lord that He is our solid rock, a firm place to stand no matter what changes occur in our lives.

Ask God

Give your anxieties and concerns about the future to God, knowing He is your shepherd and He knows where He is leading you.
Put your hope and expectation in Jesus and ask the Lord to show you a glimpse of His plan for you and your family members in this new place or situation.

Pray for the people in your life who are going through major change- welcome or unwelcome. Ask the Lord to be present with them, drawing them to Himself through these circumstances of change.
