Wednesday July 23 – For conflict in marriage and God’s restoration

2014 Summer of Prayer

Posted on: July 23, 2014

Come and worship
The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.
Proverbs 18:10

Meditate on His Word Psalm 31:7, 119: 28-50, 143-144
My soul melts away for sorrow; strengthen me according to your word…This is my
comfort in my affliction, that your promise gives me life. Ps. 119:28, 50
I will rejoice and be glad in your steadfast love, because you have seen my affliction; you
have known the distress of my soul. Psalm 31:7

Reflect and give thanks
Lord, thank you that you know our sorrow, remorse, desperation, fear, exhaustion,
pain. Thank you that we can hide safely in you, protected from trouble with hope of
deliverance.

Ask God
To bring healing to marriages in the safety of His presence, bringing forth honesty,
gentleness, forgiveness, and renewal of love.
For His presence with those in danger, in denial, in despair, and for those in deep need of
the love of Jesus.
To provide comfort where there is anguish and to strengthen husbands and wives
through His Word and the support of the community of believers.
Lord, for those who feel like running away, may they run to you instead. Grant Your Spirit
to walk with husbands and wives along the road to restoration and peace.
