Wednesday July 30 – Prayer for those struggling with illness

2014 Summer of Prayer

Posted on: July 30, 2014

Come and worship

The Lord who is good and works in and through the circumstances of our lives. …for I am the Lord, who heals you. Exodus 15:26

Meditate on His Word Psalm 41:1-3, Psalm 27:13-14
I remain confident of this; I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:13-14

Reflect and give thanks

Thank the Lord that He is the One we run to when we are ill, when we must rest, when we must change our life to accommodate illness. He is the shoulder to cry on, the solid foundation to stand on, the One who made us and is able to heal.

Ask God

Cry out to the God who gave you life. Surrender your struggle to Him- He has borne our sicknesses, and carried our pains (Isaiah 53:4).
Pray for the people in your life and at Imprint who struggle with on-going illness;

– for the Lord to intervene in their lives and enable doctors, medicines, and medical interventions to be effective.

– that the Lord will give them hope and renewed confidence in Him in the times when they are weary and tempted to despair.

– That He will draw close to them when they are weak and speak to them in times of rest to make this time of physical illness a spiritually fruitful time of drawing closer to Him.
