Encouragement for marriages
Come and worship
I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. (Psalm 9:1-2)
Meditate on His Word Proverbs 5:15-18, Ecclesiastes 4:12 Drink water from your own cistern, flowing water from your own well.
Should your springs be scattered abroad, streams of water in the streets?
Let them be for yourself alone, and not for strangers with you.
Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice in the wife of your youth. Proverbs 5:15-18
Reflect and give thanks
Give thanks to God for bringing a companion for you to share your life with. Thank Him for all the ups and downs you experience with your spouse knowing God is in control.
To remind you of the good memories of love you have shared with your spouse.
Ask for forgiveness for wounds and hurts between you as you try to build your life together.
To rekindle the romance between you, and bring renewal to your relationship. Recommit yourself to your spouse today before the Lord, ask Him to be the third strand that gives your marriage strength.
Ask the Lord to bring to mind the people whose marriages have been a model for you to follow. Pray for them today. Send them a card or email to let them know their marriage commitment made an impact on you.
