Backpacks For Hilltop (Ben and Ben's Excellent Adventure)

For many struggling families in the Puget Sound region, the thought of back-to-school shopping for supplies can be stressful and overwhelming.  The statewide restrictions resulting from COVID-19 have made donations difficult to come by and schools are reaching out to the community for help.  We have been given the opportunity to meet the need by providing supplies to Hilltop Elementary with physical donations now through the beginning of the school year.  Imprint has a connection to Hilltop through students and faculty, and they are the only school in the region accepting physical donations.  These donations will go to kids in 3rd-5th grade who are facing a very unusual school year.  We want to communicate love to our neighbors through backpacks full of the supplies needed and a note of encouragement to the student.  Each backpack should contain the following:

  • 1x Backpack suitable for children in 3-5th grade
  • 2x No.2 Ticonderoga pencils (12 pack)
  • 1x supply box (something like this or this)
  • 2x glue sticks (6 pack)
  • 1x scissors – kid’s 6″
  • 1x Crayola crayons (24 pack)
  • 1x Crayola markers (12 count)
  • 1x colored pencils (18ct)
  • 4x composition books (college-ruled 100pgs)
  • 1x Eraser Caps (15 ct)
  • 2x Pink Pearl eraser
  • 4x dry erase markers (black, fine tip)
  • 4x folders (generic 25¢ or 50¢ folders to help 3rd-5th graders stay organized with subjects)
  • 1x – note of encouragement to student
We are hoping to put together 20-25 backpacks. Donations will be accepted at Hilltop Elementary (20425 Damson Road, Lynnwood, WA 98036) now through September 8th from 10am-2pm daily. If you have any questions, you can email Tom McGregor.
We hope you’ll join us in ministering to our community in this practical way!
