A Church of Gratitude

The church should be defined by and identified with a profound sense of gratitude. Gratitude is one of three core focus areas at Imprint Church in Woodinville (Gospel, Gratitude, Generosity) and was the topic of our October 13, 2013 sermon. Romans 12:1-5 provides a look not only at how gratitude should play out in the church, but at the idea of living with “one another” as Christians to build community. The key points from this week’s sermon, along with time in the recording where you can learn more about that point, are: Gratitude is one of the main characteristics of what the church should be built upon. (8:30) The definition of church is all people who call Jesus their Lord AND live as a family. (12:55) The church is both gathered and scattered. (14:55) It’s only with the church where gratitude is worked out in living with one another. (26:15) Three stops for applying gratitude: 1. We must work hard at developing community. (28:10) 2. We must have significant life on life relationships. (29:43 3. We must see ourselves as a minister. (30:27)
