The Songs We Sing
Hey Traveling Partners,
I'll come right out with it:
The Lord wants you to sing.
I can hear your objections:
"I don't have a very good voice."
"I don't like singing."
"I prefer to worship in silence."
"I don't know the songs."
I'll repeat again:
The Lord wants you to sing.
He has said so in His Word a ridiculous number of times. The Bible has hundreds of encouragements to sing with at least 50 direct commands to sing. There is no escape clause. It is not extra credit for the talented or emotional among us. Singing is for everyone.
So that takes care of the first 3 objections. What about the last?
The songs we sing get theology stuck in our heads. At Imprint Church, we take this seriously, as we only want to get good theology stuck in your head. We try to curate songs that are centered on God's Glory, rooted in God's word, and singable and memorable. We don't sing songs just because they are new, or just because they are old, or just because they are on the radio, or just because they are not on the radio.
That said, we want to make sure that you are able to sing good theology all the time, not just on Sunday mornings. We also want our hymnody to be familiar to you when you come on Sundays. To that end, we have put together a playlist of everything we have sung in the past year for you to listen to throughout the week. You can find some links below.

Sing praises to God, sing praises;
sing praises to our King, sing praises.
For God is the King of all the earth;
sing to him a psalm of praise.
Psalm 47:6-7
May you go through this week magnifying Christ with your whole life, including your voice.
Blessings in Christ,
sing praises to our King, sing praises.
